Month after month, the community faced ongoing water and sanitation problems, electricity failures, unreliable infrastructure and little to no refuse removal. Services that residents reasonably expected from their municipality became increasingly unreliable, while the consequences were left on the doorsteps of ordinary families.

Out of this frustration and necessity came the decision to establish the SE3 NPC (Non-Profit Company), a community-driven structure through which residents could work together to confront the growing service-delivery challenges and protect our neighborhood which we call home.

This was not a community trying to replace its municipality. It was a community refusing to watch its neighborhood fall apart.

Together, We Can Achieve More

What other suburbs are still dreaming about, our suburb has already achieved. It all comes down to community spirit, teamwork, and neighbors working together toward a common goal.

By combining our efforts, supporting one another, and taking responsibility for our neighborhood, we can overcome many of the challenges created by municipal service shortfalls.
