In 2022, our community rallied under the guidance of the SE3 Committee to restore all SE3’s streetlights as part of the Monitored Access Project, with repairs totalling over R170 000!
Donations received and payments to contractors were recorded in spreadsheets, providing clear, transparent accounting.
After decades of municipal neglect, having working streetlights again was a wonderful community achievement!
But, we soon discovered that replacing globes and maintaining the lights would require ongoing funding.
The committee therefore arranges maintenance as project funds allow, and volunteers offering their time and skills free of charge are warmly welcomed.
Together, we brought the lights back, let’s keep SE3 shining!
Please support our monthly maintenance program by donating and using “SL-[number of pole]” as the reference with every contribution.
